Whiskymax bottles this 13 Year Old in its Spirit & Cask Range, a 2007 vintage matured in a brandy cask, number 9892, an outturn of 264 bottles. Miltonduff, the sweet, grassy Speyside raised on the grounds of Pluscarden Abbey and known as a Ballantine's workhorse.
Thirteen years in a brandy cask gave the floral spirit a grapey, fruity sweetness and soft oak spice from the cask's previous fill.
At 56% it shows brandy-led grape and dried fruit over the floral body, undiluted. A brandy cask 13.
