Description

Gordon & MacPhail, the Elgin house founded in 1895, has bottled Miltonduff as a single malt for generations. This 31 Year Old is a 1984 vintage Speyside single malt, bottled in 2015. Miltonduff, a light, floral Speyside from near Elgin, its spirit long destined for the Ballantine's blend.

Thirty-one years in ex-Bourbon pushed the delicate Speyside make to a fragile, ethereal depth, long oxidation and esters bringing beeswax, sandalwood and soft tropical fruit.

At 43% it shows deep mature apple, pear and honey over vanilla. A 1984 vintage 31.
