Miltonduff 30 Years Old 1990 Cask #23268 (Gordon & MacPhail)

Gordon & MacPhail, the Elgin house founded in 1895, has bottled Miltonduff as a single malt for generations. This Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength 30 Year Old draws on a 1990 vintage in ex-Bourbon, cask 23268, an outturn of 143 bottles. Miltonduff, the sweet, grassy Speyside raised on the grounds of Pluscarden Abbey and known as a Ballantine's workhorse.

Across thirty years heavy evaporation and slow oxidation refined the light Speyside spirit, the strength drifting toward 40% as the angels took their share.

At 56.7% it shows a savoury, cooked-vegetable depth over mature floral fruit, undiluted. A 1990 Connoisseurs Choice 30.
