Description

Samaroli, the storied Italian bottler founded by Silvano Samaroli in 1968. This 20 Year Old is a 1995 ex-Bourbon single cask, number 2847, an outturn of 263. Miltonduff, a light, floral Speyside from near Elgin, its spirit long destined for the Ballantine's blend.

Twenty years in ex-Bourbon brought maturity, the low-tannin oak now a frame for baked fruit, light spice and a waxy thread in the soft, floral character.

At 45% it shows mature apple, pear and vanilla. A 1995 single cask 20.
