Miltonduff 16 Years Old 2008 (Alba Import)

Alba Import bottles this 16 Year Old in its Alba Trail range, a 2008 vintage in ex-Bourbon. Miltonduff, the sweet, grassy Speyside raised on the grounds of Pluscarden Abbey and known as a Ballantine's workhorse.

Across sixteen years the oak's ellagitannins added structure while oxidation deepened the soft, floral character into cooked fruit and light spice.

At 46% it shows a faint coal-smoke note over apple, pear and vanilla. An Alba Trail 16.
