Description

Douglas of Drumlanrig bottles this 16 Year Old, a 1998 vintage from ex-Bourbon cask LD 10374, an outturn of 208 bottles. Miltonduff, the sweet, grassy Speyside raised on the grounds of Pluscarden Abbey and known as a Ballantine's workhorse.

Sixteen years in ex-Bourbon brought maturity, the low-tannin oak now a frame for baked fruit, light spice and a waxy thread in the light, floral spirit.

At 46% it shows citrus, hay and vanilla over the floral body. A Douglas of Drumlanrig 16.
