Description

This 13 Year Old is a Fine Old Highland Malt bottling of Miltonduff, the floral Speyside workhorse of Ballantine's. Distilled on the grounds of Pluscarden Abbey near Elgin, where the Black Burn supplies the distillery founded in 1824.

By thirteen years the ex-Bourbon cask had integrated with the sweet, floral distillate, caramelised hemicellulose lending toffee alongside the vanilla.

At 43% it shows red apple, citrus and sweet cereal over a delicate body. A historic Italian-market 13.
