Hogshead Imports bottles this 13 Year Old, a 2010 vintage in ex-Bourbon, a release of 268 bottles. Miltonduff, the fresh, floral Speyside distilled beside Pluscarden Abbey near Elgin and long bound for the Ballantine's blend.

Thirteen years in a bourbon barrel brought balance, lignin-derived vanilla and a growing fruity-ester sweetness folding into Miltonduff's light spirit.

At 48% it shows red apple, pear and soft vanilla, undiluted. A Hogshead Imports 13.
