Description

Duncan Taylor, the Huntly independent founded in 1938 with one of Scotland's deepest cask inventories. This Single Cask 13 Year Old is a 2009 vintage from Oloroso cask 839000191, an outturn of 288. Miltonduff, the fresh, floral Speyside distilled beside Pluscarden Abbey near Elgin and long bound for the Ballantine's blend.

Thirteen years in a sherry butt drew quick colour and dried-fruit sweetness into the soft, floral character, melanoidins giving raisin as oxidation began.

At 53.9% it shows sherried dried fruit over the floral body, undiluted. A single cask 13.
