Description

Duncan Taylor, the Huntly independent founded in 1938 with one of Scotland's deepest cask inventories. This Single Cask 13 Year Old comes from a 2008 ex-Bourbon cask, number 83900244, an outturn of 360. Miltonduff, the floral Speyside distilled where Pluscarden Abbey's old meal mill once stood, long a heart of Ballantine's.

By thirteen years the ex-Bourbon cask had integrated with the soft, floral character, caramelised hemicellulose lending toffee alongside the vanilla.

At 53.8% it shows apple, pear, honey and vanilla, undiluted. A single cask 13.
