Berry Bros & Rudd, the London merchant trading since 1698. This Single Cask 13 Year Old is a 2008 vintage from ex-Bourbon cask 700443, 220 bottles filled. Miltonduff, the floral Speyside malt distilled near Pluscarden Abbey and long destined for Ballantine's.

Thirteen years in ex-Bourbon let oak and spirit knit, vanilla and honey from lignin and wood sugars settling into the sweet, floral distillate.

At 55.7% it shows honey, nuts, vanilla, malt extract, an oily texture and a toasted note, undiluted. A 2008 single cask 13.
