Description

This 13 Year Old is a Fine Old Highland Malt bottling of Miltonduff, the floral Speyside malt long bound for the Ballantine's blend. Distilled on the grounds of Pluscarden Abbey near Elgin, where the Black Burn supplies the distillery founded in 1824.

By thirteen years the ex-Bourbon cask had integrated with the floral spirit, caramelised hemicellulose lending toffee alongside the vanilla.

At 43% it shows a grassy, floral lift over red apple, sweet cereal and honey. A historic Italian-market 13.
