Description

From A.D. Rattray's Individual Cask Release range, this 12 Year Old is a 2009 vintage matured across ex-Bourbon and Oloroso, cask 900488, an outturn of 284. Miltonduff, the sweet, grassy Speyside raised on the grounds of Pluscarden Abbey and known as a Ballantine's workhorse.

Twelve years across bourbon and Oloroso layered the floral spirit, the bourbon lending vanilla and the sherry dried fruit through its melanoidins.

At 58.5% it shows a medicinal lift, dried fruit, leather, old wood and a faint smoke, undiluted. An Individual Cask 12.
