Description

Duncan Taylor, the Huntly independent founded in 1938 with one of Scotland's deepest cask inventories. This Octave 11 Year Old is a 2009 vintage from a small ex-Bourbon octave, cask 8327219, an outturn of 103. Miltonduff, the fresh, floral Speyside distilled beside Pluscarden Abbey near Elgin and long bound for the Ballantine's blend.

Eleven years in the small octave cask pushed oak into the soft, floral character quickly, drawing out vanilla and a soft fudge ahead of its years.

At 53.9% it shows bright apple, pear and vanilla, undiluted. An Octave 11.
