Description

From Van Wees, the Dutch house behind The Ultimate range, this 10 Year Old draws on a 2009 vintage in ex-Bourbon, cask 701741, 300 bottles filled. Miltonduff, the floral Speyside malt distilled near Pluscarden Abbey and long destined for Ballantine's.

Across ten years in American oak the tannins softened and esterification got underway, vanilla and light fudge rounding the fresh, floral character.

At 46% it shows orchard fruit, pear and vanilla. An Ultimate 10.
