Malfy Gin Rosa Sicilian Pink Grapefruit

Malfy is the work of Torino Distillati in Piedmont, where the family lean hard into Italian fruit rather than the cooler, drier British template. For Rosa they steep Sicilian pink grapefruit alongside Amalfi lemons and hand-picked juniper, the citrus oils giving the spirit its delicate blush and the name its sense of place. It is gin written in the language of a Mediterranean orchard.

The nose is pink grapefruit and a whisper of rhubarb, fresh and lifted. On the palate it stays fruity and mild, grapefruit up front with a fine juniper spice and soft herbal nuances underneath, before a refreshing, slightly tart finish that lingers on citrus. Pour over plenty of ice with a Mediterranean tonic and a wide slice of pink grapefruit.
