The Scotch Malt Whisky Society, founded at The Vaults in Leith in 1983, codes its bottlings rather than naming distilleries, 7 being Longmorn. This is a 15 Year Old from a 2004 vintage, titled Uncork a conversation, an outturn of 147 bottles.

Fifteen years in ex-Bourbon shaped the young rich spirit, the low-tannin oak lending vanilla and a light toffee.

At 57.6% it shows orchard fruit over Longmorn's body, undiluted. A Society 7.240.
