Description
This is a 5 year old Lochlea from a 2018 vintage, a vatting across ex-Bourbon, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez, an outturn of 2,000 bottles. The distillery's early own-barley spirit, richly cask-layered.
Three cask types layer the fruit: the PX's residual sugars giving raisin and date, the Oloroso fig, the bourbon vanilla.
At 50% it shows dried fruit, leather, vanilla, citrus, a malty note and a nutty depth, a layered sherried Lochlea. A triple-cask 5 year old.
