Lagavulin Feis Ile 2008 15 Years Old 1993

This 15 Years Old was bottled for Feis Ile 2008, distilled in 1993 and drawn from European oak cask 1403, an outturn of 580 bottles. Lagavulin has stood at its namesake bay since 1816, one of Islay's south-shore distilleries.

The spirit is heavily peated and distilled at a deliberate, slow pace. Matured in a single European oak cask at full strength, the sherry-seasoned wood adds dried fruit to the smoke.

Bottled at full strength, 52.9%. Guaiacol and cresols carry the smoke, the European oak adding fig and raisin with a dry grip. A sherried festival single cask Lagavulin.
