Description
Komos Añejo Reserva is a 100% Blue Weber añejo produced at Orendain in the town of Tequila under NOM 1110, the luxury Mediterranean styled brand from Richard Betts. Its base draws on both highland and lowland agave, roasted in traditional stone ovens, then gently milled, fermented with native yeast and twice distilled in pot stills before maturation, all presented in a hand glazed vitreous porcelain bottle.
The Añejo Reserva rests for twelve months in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, followed by a settling period that rounds the palate and lends a light impression of sweetness. The nose is rich coffee and caramel toffee lifted by citrus, the palate soft and full with hazelnut and dried apricot, and the long finish carries allspice, white pepper and amber notes at 40%.
