Knockdhu anCnoc Rutter

Rutter is part of anCnoc's peated range, each named for a peat-cutting tool, this a Limited Edition of 1,500 bottles bottled in 2014. Knockdhu distillery, at Knock in Banffshire, sells its malt as anCnoc to avoid confusion with Knockando.

Since its 1989 revival under Inver House, the distillery has run the odd peated batch. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, the wood adds vanilla beneath the soft smoke.

Bottled at 46%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the smoke coming from peat phenols over the fresh, fruity malt. A peated anCnoc named for a peat tool.
