Knockdhu anCnoc Peter Arkle 2nd Edition (Casks)

This is the Casks edition, the second in anCnoc's Peter Arkle series, with packaging by the New York-based Scottish illustrator. Bottled in 2012, an outturn of 6,000 bottles. Knockdhu distillery, near Knock in Banffshire, is named anCnoc so it would not be mistaken for Knockando, and is one of Scotland's smallest distilleries, founded in 1894.

Inver House revived the site in 1989. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, the wood gives a clean vanilla sweetness to the bright spirit.

Bottled at 46%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanillin for vanilla and oak lactones for coconut, with maltol for toffee over the fresh, fruity malt. An illustrated limited-edition anCnoc.
