Knockdhu anCnoc 35 Years Old (2nd Release)

This 35 Years Old is the second release of anCnoc's old Limited Edition, bottled in 2016, an outturn of 670 bottles, aged exclusively in ex-Bourbon. A rare old expression of Knockdhu distillery in Banffshire, named anCnoc to prevent confusion with Knockando.

Thirty-five years in ex-Bourbon left the malt mellow and waxy, the oak well to the fore.

Bottled at 41%. The ex-Bourbon cask gives vanilla and coconut from vanillin and oak lactones, with a toffee edge. The recorded note is a mossy earthiness over a waxy, aged depth. A rare old second-release anCnoc.
