Knockdhu 23 Years Old

This 23 Years Old carries the original Knockdhu name, an old Limited Edition distilled in 1978 and bottled in 2001 at cask strength, an outturn of 3,200 bottles. Knockdhu distillery, near Huntly in Banffshire, renamed its whisky anCnoc in the 1990s to avoid confusion with Knockando.

Matured in ex-Bourbon casks across twenty-three years, the wood deepened the malt at full strength.

Bottled at full strength, 57.4%. The ex-Bourbon lends vanilla and coconut through its vanillin and oak lactones. Noted flavours include a hay-like note, fresh fruit, a green note, honey, a malt extract edge and a nutty note. A full-strength Knockdhu-named edition.
