Knockdhu 12 Years Old Single Highland Malt (43%)

This 12 Years Old carries the original Knockdhu name rather than anCnoc, an old Single Highland Malt bottling for France from before the rebrand, at a slightly fuller 43%. Knockdhu distillery, at Knock in Banffshire, renamed its whisky anCnoc in the 1990s since Knockando was too close a name.

Matured in ex-Bourbon over twelve years, the oak rounds the fresh malt and builds vanilla and light toffee.

Bottled at 43%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanillin for vanilla and oak lactones for coconut, with maltol for toffee over the fresh, fruity malt. An old Knockdhu-named bottling.
