Batch 04 continues The Hearach's First Fill Oloroso line, the Isle of Harris single malt matured entirely in first fill Oloroso sherry casks. An outturn of 12,100 bottles for Europe, it leans into the rich, sherried side of the young island spirit.

The Isle of Harris Distillery opened in 2015 as a Social Distillery in Tarbert, its lightly peated Hearach reviving distilling lost to the island for over a century. Matured in first fill Oloroso, the active sherry wood deepens a young malt.

Bottled at 46% without chill filtration, colour untouched. The Oloroso gives fig and raisin from its melanoidins, with tannins adding a walnut dryness, the gentle peat threading beneath. The recorded note is cocoa, over a coastal salinity. Sherried, smoky and young.
