This Glen Keith was bottled by the Glasgow bottler Douglas Laing, a 25 year old, at 50.5%. Green apple, pear and a soft malt run through it. Its tall stills and Balloch Hill water give a light, fruity spirit. A light, sweet, fruity Speyside single malt of green apple and pear. This is a clean, fruity Speyside single malt.

Description

This Glen Keith was bottled by the Glasgow bottler Douglas Laing, a 25 year old, distilled in 1996, from cask DL 15466, bottled at 50.5%, one of 423 bottles. Glen Keith is a Speyside single malt from Chivas Brothers, light and sweet in style. It was Seagram's experimental plant, and still houses the Chivas Brothers lab.

It was drawn off the stills for a clean, fruity Speyside spirit, for a light, elegant spirit with a soft malt. First fill bourbon gave a fuller vanilla and a touch of coconut from the lactones. In the oxidative, evaporative years concentration brings tropical fruit, honey and a waxy depth over the apple. The clean, fruity make takes cask flavour well while keeping its apple and pear. Its tall, narrowing stills give a light, fruity Speyside spirit. It was built in 1957 by Seagram on the site of a meal mill, directly behind Strathisla.

At a hearty 50.5% it carries real weight. Green apple, honey and a soft malt, with a soft vanilla from the oak. The mouthfeel is light, the fruit carried on a clean body. A long, fruity finish carries a green apple and a soft spice. This is Glen Keith, Seagram's experimental Speyside malt.
