Barbados sits between the light Spanish and heavier Jamaican traditions, and this bottling shows that balance with real maturity behind it. Expect vanilla, caramel and coconut over firm, dry oak, with hints of tropical fruit and dark chocolate and a spicy, lengthy finish carried by a confident 48%. The absence of dosage is the point here: the depth comes from age and cask rather than sweetening, which rewards drinkers stepping beyond softer, sweeter styles.
