Croftengea 2009 Cask #148 (Le Gus’t)

Le Gus't, a French independent, bottles this Croftengea in its Selection series, a heavily peated Loch Lomond malt, a 12 year old from 2009, cask 148.

Twelve years in ex-Bourbon soften the peat, the cask's vanilla softening the peat beneath.

At 56.6% it shows citrus, fresh fruit, honey, a kippery smoke and new wood, guaiacol and cresols carrying the smoke. A peated Croftengea.
