Description
From Alistair Walker's Infrequent Flyers range, this Croftengea is a heavily peated Loch Lomond malt, a 19 year old from 2005 in Moscatel, cask 6354.
Nineteen years in Moscatel lend a grapey, raisined sweetness over the peat, the sweet Spanish wine against the smoke.
At 54.5% the Moscatel sweetness plays against a softened wood smoke, phenols and guaiacol driving the reek. A Moscatel mature Croftengea.
