Chopin 30 Years Old Vintage Vault is a rare potato vodka rested since the original 1993 batch, presented in a hand-cut crystal decanter. Chopin’s potato base gives a fuller, creamier body than grain vodka ever could. At 43.6% and three decades at rest, this is a collector’s bottle as much as a drinker’s.

Description
Chopin is named after the Polish composer and made in Poland from local potatoes, which are cleaned, peeled, cooked and distilled four times. Potato gives vodka a fuller, creamier and slightly sweet body that grain cannot match, because the starch converts into a heavier, more textured spirit. This Vintage Vault bottling is drawn from the original 1993 batch of Chopin and rested for thirty years, then presented in a hand-cut crystal decanter inside an alder wood box, with cocktail picks made from natural pearls as a nod to the traditional 30th anniversary gift. At 43.6% it sits above the usual strength, adding weight to an already rich spirit.
The nose is sweetish with citrus notes. The palate opens on fresh green apple and grapefruit, then moves through vanilla, white pepper and coriander, with a long finish. With a spirit this layered and creamy, the honest serve is a dry Martini, stirred cold and poured into a chilled glass with the barest whisper of dry vermouth, so the potato body and its orchard fruit and spice show without anything getting in the way.
