Description
Böser Kater Aperitivo Wildberry Eistee comes from the Edelobstbrennerei Schleihauf in Germany, a fruit aperitivo that sets a mix of wild berries against the fresh lightness of iced tea. The berry character runs to blueberry, raspberry and redcurrant, with the tea sweetness rounding the whole. At 15% it sits low and easy, made for warm afternoons and social pours, and in the traditional macerated style of a fruit liqueur the berries do the talking.
The nose is fresh wild berries with a gentle tea note behind, and the palate is fruity and refreshing, sweet berry flavours lifted by a light tea sweetness and a delicate citrus edge. Behind the bar it works as a low strength fruit modifier and colour: it stretches cleanly into a berry spritz with sparkling wine or soda, deepens a tall glass over ice, and adds sweetness and a red berry tone without heavy alcohol. Pour it over ice or top with Prosecco, and keep it well chilled.
