Description
Flaughter is part of anCnoc's peated range, each named for a peat-cutting tool, this an outturn of 1,500 bottles bottled in 2014. Knockdhu distillery, near Huntly in Banffshire, sells its malt as anCnoc to set it apart from Knockando.
Production resumed under Inver House in 1989, with peated spirit made only occasionally. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, the oak's vanilla sits under a gentle peat smoke.
Bottled at 46%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla with the smoke from peat phenols over the fresh, fruity malt. A peated anCnoc named for a peat tool.
