Description
Vecindad Tequila Reposado follows the brand's Blanco, a 100% Blue Weber tequila created in 2016 by two friends for the Paris bar scene and given the same funky, illustrated identity. It is produced in Jalisco at Destileria Leyros, the house that also makes Casa Dragones, with an emphasis on sustainable, resource-careful methods. Resting in oak adds a layer of barrel sweetness without burying the agave.
The nose leans on vanilla, damp oak, coconut and a nutty walnut note from time in wood. The palate turns brighter, with floral tones, green apple and clear cooked agave underneath. Bottled at 43%, it sits a step bolder than the Blanco, oak and agave trading places across the glass, and works as both a sipper and a base for stirred drinks.
