Description
La Cofradia Edition Catrina Reposado is a Blue Weber tequila from La Cofradia in Jalisco, a house with more than fifty years of tequila making behind it. The Catrina edition is a special series, bottled in ceramic and tied to the iconic Mexican figure of La Catrina, with the vessel as much a part of the release as the spirit inside. As a reposado it carries light oak over a still present agave core.
The tequila is distilled twice and then rested between six and eleven months in French oak casks, sitting comfortably past the two month reposado minimum. French oak tends to give a tighter, spicier cask character than American oak, lending gentle structure to a profile the house builds around softness. The result is the smooth, rounded style La Cofradia is known for. Bottled at 38%.
