Description

Plantation Jamaica & Guyana Old Reserve is a blended rum from Maison Ferrand's Plantation line, pairing two of the most characterful rum origins: funky Jamaican pot still and rich Guyanese Demerara. This single-cask release carries a 1991 vintage and was bottled specially for the Swiss market.

Made from molasses and combining pot and column distillate, it brings together Jamaica's ester-driven fruitiness and Guyana's deep, treacly weight. Maison Ferrand double-ages its rums in cognac casks and openly uses dosage, so expect a smooth, rounded profile of dried fruit, caramel and a hint of tropical funk rather than a dry, austere blend. A characterful pairing of two classic styles at an easy 42%.
