A 20 year old Glen Keith from the bottler Liquid Sun, distilled in 1995, bottled at 51.4%. Glen Keith, founded in 1957, was Seagram's innovation plant on Speyside. It was the first new distillery to open in Speyside since the great whisky crash of 1898.

The spirit was made on Balloch Hill water and condensed in shell and tube condensers, giving a clean, sweet Speyside spirit. Ex-Bourbon casks held it, the gentle American oak letting the light fruit lead. At oxidative maturity vanillin and lactones are fully expressed, the light fruit deepening to honey. Refill oak lets the light, fruity Glen Keith character lead the way. It was mothballed in 1999 and revived by Pernod Ricard in 2013 after a full refit. The cool Speyside air gives a slow, even maturation in the Glen Keith warehouses. Its first permanent single malt was released in 2017, the Distillery Edition.

Bottled at a cask strength 51.4%, it is rich. Apple, pear and a soft vanilla, with a soft vanilla from the oak. The texture is light and clean, the fruit lifted by vanilla. A fresh finish ends on apple and a soft oak. This is the light, fresh malt of Keith.
