Glen Keith from the distillery, a 10 year old, at 43%. Glen Keith is a Speyside single malt from Keith, the first new Speyside distillery since the 1898 crash. Its tall, narrowing stills give a light, fruity Speyside spirit.

Worked through the tall stills for a light, sweet make, for the light, fruity make Glen Keith is known for. An ex-Bourbon barrel shaped it, vanillin lending vanilla under the apple. Integration folds eugenol (clove) and vanillin (vanilla) into the malt, the body softer and the fruit riper. Much of the Glen Keith make went to the blenders, a little kept as single malt. Its water is drawn from the Balloch Hill spring above Keith. Balloch Hill water and the tall stills give the light Glen Keith make. Active wood frames the fruit without overwhelming the light Speyside spirit. Maturation in the racked warehouses at Keith is slow and steady.

At an approachable 43% it is light and clean. Pear, melon and a light honey, with a soft vanilla from the oak. A baked apple and a gentle spice lift it. A long, fruity finish carries a green apple and a soft spice. This is Glen Keith, Seagram's experimental Speyside malt.
