George Strachan Ltd. of Deeside, an independent bottler, drew this 39 Year Old. Mortlach, the Beast of Dufftown, condenses its spirit in worm tubs and part-triple-distils through the tiny Wee Witchie still, building weight and a savoury, sulphury core.

Across thirty-nine years heavy evaporation and slow oxidation concentrated Mortlach's weighty make, leather and old-wood depth as the strength drifted lower.

At full cask strength it shows vanilla, cooked fruit and a savoury weight on Mortlach's muscular frame. The meaty Dufftown style.
