The Vintage Malt Whisky Company bottles this 13 Year Old in its Cooper's Choice range, a 2007 vintage matured in American oak and a stout-beer cask, number 9087, an outturn of 304 bottles. Miltonduff, the sweet, grassy Speyside raised on the grounds of Pluscarden Abbey and known as a Ballantine's workhorse.

Thirteen years across American oak and a stout cask framed the floral spirit, the oak lending vanilla and the stout cask a roasted, malty edge.

At 51.1% it shows a roasty depth over apple, pear and vanilla, undiluted. A Cooper's Choice 13.
