Description

The Caskhound, a German independent, bottles this 12 Year Old, a 2010 vintage from ex-Bourbon cask 31, an outturn of 323. Miltonduff, the sweet, grassy Speyside raised on the grounds of Pluscarden Abbey and known as a Ballantine's workhorse.

By twelve years the ex-Bourbon cask had integrated with Miltonduff's light spirit, caramelised hemicellulose lending toffee alongside the vanilla.

At 53.8% it shows red apple, pear and soft vanilla, undiluted. A Caskhound 12.
