Description

Hunter Laing bottles this 29 Year Old in its Old Malt Cask range, a 1990 vintage from ex-Bourbon cask HL 16260, a release of 277 bottles. Miltonduff, the sweet, grassy Speyside raised on the grounds of Pluscarden Abbey and known as a Ballantine's workhorse.

By twenty-nine years the light, floral spirit had grown deep and polished, cumulative oxidation concentrating dried fruit and nutty oak as the strength eased.

At 50% it shows a savoury, cooked-vegetable depth over mature orchard fruit, undiluted. An Old Malt Cask 29.
