Miltonduff 35 Years Old 1986 Cask #8453 (Gordon & MacPhail)

Gordon & MacPhail, the Elgin house founded in 1895, has bottled Miltonduff as a single malt for generations, whose Private Collection holds its rarest single casks. This 35 Year Old draws on a 1986 vintage in ex-Bourbon, cask 8453, an outturn of 196. Miltonduff, the floral Speyside distilled where Pluscarden Abbey's old meal mill once stood, long a heart of Ballantine's.

Across thirty-five years heavy evaporation and slow oxidation refined the light, floral spirit, the strength drifting toward 40% as the angels took their share.

At 48.7% it shows mature dried and fresh fruit over the floral body, undiluted. A 1986 Private Collection 35.
