Description

Duncan Taylor, the Huntly independent founded in 1938 with one of Scotland's deepest cask inventories. This Octave 13 Year Old is a 2011 vintage finished in a small Oloroso octave, cask 8343619, an outturn of 90 bottles. Miltonduff, the floral Speyside malt distilled near Pluscarden Abbey and long destined for Ballantine's.

Finished in an Oloroso octave, the floral spirit drew raisin and date fast over thirteen years, the concentrated cask doing the work of a larger butt.

At 54.3% it shows sherried dried fruit over the floral body, undiluted. An Octave 13.
