Description

Duncan Taylor, the Huntly independent founded in 1938 with one of Scotland's deepest cask inventories. This Octave 14 Year Old is a 2009 vintage finished in a small Oloroso octave, cask 8336728, a release of 89 bottles. Miltonduff, a light, floral Speyside from near Elgin, its spirit long destined for the Ballantine's blend.

Finished in an Oloroso octave, the grassy, floral make drew raisin and date fast over fourteen years, the concentrated cask doing the work of a larger butt.

At 54.8% it shows sherried dried fruit over the floral body, undiluted. An Octave 14.
