Description

Duncan Taylor, the Huntly independent founded in 1938 with one of Scotland's deepest cask inventories. This Octave 6 Year Old is a 2008 vintage from a small ex-Bourbon octave cask, number 838945, an outturn of 88. Miltonduff, a light, floral Speyside from near Elgin, its spirit long destined for the Ballantine's blend.

The eight-firkin octave packed six years of intense bourbon oak around the grassy, floral make, the concentrated wood adding vanilla and light spice early.

At 54.8% it shows bright young apple and vanilla, undiluted. An Octave 6.
