Description

From Best Dram, this 10 Year Old is a 2009 vintage from Oloroso cask 900031A, an outturn of 308 bottles, sibling to cask 900031B. Miltonduff, the sweet, grassy Speyside raised on the grounds of Pluscarden Abbey and known as a Ballantine's workhorse.

Ten years in Oloroso wrapped the sweet, floral distillate in raisin and date, the sherry's melanoidins and softening tannin knitting with the fruit.

At 57.9% it shows citrus, dried fruit, a nutty note and a sherried depth, undiluted. A Best Dram 10.
