Croftengea Bourbon Finish Batch BBN-03 (Murray McDavid)

Murray McDavid, founded in 1996 by the team that revived Bruichladdich, bottles this Croftengea in its Cask Craft range. A heavily peated Loch Lomond malt with a Bourbon finish.

An American-oak Bourbon finish lends vanilla beneath a dense peat, the low-tannin oak softening the smoke.

At 44.5% it shows a cooked-mash and kippery wood smoke with old wood, a toasted note and tobacco, phenols and guaiacol driving the reek. A peated Cask Craft Croftengea.
