Description

This second Offerman Edition continues Lagavulin's collaboration with actor Nick Offerman, an 11 year old released in 2021. Lagavulin, at Lagavulin Bay on Islay's south shore, was founded in 1816 and is one of the island's most famous distilleries.

Lagavulin's peated spirit is run slowly off the stills for weight. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, eleven years give a deep, smoky character with a sweeter core.

Bottled at 46%. Peat phenols and guaiacol carry the smoke, the ex-Bourbon adding vanilla and a chocolate note. Tasting notes take in smoke, chocolate, a medicinal edge, a nutty note, dried fruit and fresh fruit. The second Offerman collaboration.
