A.D. Rattray bottled this 8 year old 2009 Knockdhu from ex-Bourbon cask 700303, an outturn of 247 bottles for Germany. Knockdhu, at Knock, in Banffshire, sells its own single malt as anCnoc, but independents use the distillery name.

Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask, the oak give a light vanilla sweetness to the fresh, fruity spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 59.6%. The ex-Bourbon offers vanilla and coconut, the cask strength giving the fruit extra drive. A young independent single cask.
